| African Nobel Prize Winner says HIV Created in Lab for Biological Warfare |
NAIROBI, October 12, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Wangari Maathai, a Kenyan ecologist and the first African woman to win a Nobel prize, said Saturday that HIV was created deliberately in the laboratory as a biological weapon. "Some say that AIDS came from the monkeys, and I doubt that because we have been living with monkeys (since) time immemorial, others say it was a curse from God, but I say it cannot be that," she said at a press conference following the announcement of her receipt of the Nobel prize. Maathai received the prize for her environmental work in preventing deforestation in Africa.
"It's true that there are some people who create agents to wipe out other people. If there were no such people, we could have not have invaded Iraq," Maathai maintained, as reported by the AFP. "We invaded Iraq because we believed that Saddam Hussein had made, or was in the process of creating agents of biological warfare," she said. "In fact it (the HIV virus) is created by a scientist for biological warfare."
"Why has there been so much secrecy about AIDS? When you ask where did the virus come from, it raises a lot of flags. That makes me suspicious," she said.
"She said (HIV/AIDS) was invented as a bio-weapon in some laboratory in the West," a U.S. State Department official said in response to Maathai's claim. "We don't agree with that." The U.S. official pointed out that Maathai had claimed HIV was created in the lab for the purposes of population control, in a Kenyan daily Standard newspaper story published in August.

 Per il popolo delle due ruote è una svolta: andare in due sul 'cinquantino' (tabù per diverse generazioni) non sarà più illegale, ma solo per i maggiorenni. I 14enni quindi dovranno continuare a rispettare l'antipatica (e anacronistica visto che il divieto esiste solo in Italia) norma.
la rivoluzione, però, è grande lo stesso. E non solo per i maggiorenni: con l'approvazione del decreto attuativo da parte del Consiglio dei Ministri, è stata finalmente sbloccata la procedura per la nuova targatura dei ciclomotori, ferma da anni.
In pratica arriva una vera e propria targa personale abbinata ad un solo veicolo (ha anche un formato diverso, è un po' più grande dell'attuale), e nuovi documenti che dovrebbero - si spera - rendere più difficile la vita ai ladri e a chi truffa le assicurazioni. Vedremo.
Quello che è certo però che il disagio per gli utenti sarà enorme: le nuove targhe non andranno montate solo sui nuovi 50cc, ma su tutto il parco circolante. E i proprietari dei vecchi due ruote dovranno procedere all'aggiornamento di targhe e documentazione. Come? per ora è un mistero visto che il calendario scaglionato delle modalità di modifica verrà rilasciato solo nei prossimi mesi.
Il vantaggio vero, comunque, sta nel fatto che con questa nuova normativa sarà più facile vendere un ciclomotore perché basterà comunicare alla motorizzazione a quale nuova targa dell'acquirente viene abbinato un determinato veicolo, indicando il relativo numero di telaio. In tal modo si conoscerà in tempo reale il proprietario del veicolo circolante.
"Questo provvedimento - ha dichiarato Guidalberto Guidi, Presidente dell'Ancma - costituisce un elemento favorevole di rilancio per la categoria ciclomotori. Esprimiamo soddisfazione, e gratitudine per i Ministri dei Trasporti, della Funzione Pubblica e dell'Ambiente che insieme al sottosegretario alla Presidenza del Consiglio hanno mostrato sensibilità nei confronti di questo problema e del nostro settore. Auspichiamo ora che i costi per la nuova targa e gli oneri burocratici siano estremamente contenuti".

ROMA - Addio alla ninna nanna monotona filastrocca, la nenia ipnotica che fa addormentare i bambini può ormai essere sostituita da un'altra cantilena: il rap, musica che può essere più efficace anche della classica. La novità per i genitori arriva da Parigi dove si è svolta la terza edizione della "Settimana del suono". Gli esperti si sono ritrovati tutti d'accordo sul fatto che la ninna nanna sia il rimedio più efficace per rassicurare un bambino ma oggi si può azzardare qualche cambiamento perché ora sembra che anche "il rap rilassi i neonati". Una cosa comunque è certa: la musica fa bene ai più piccoli. Tutta. Le note stimolano l'intelligenza e la socialità, inducono la calma, favoriscono il benessere e, quando è necessario, fanno addormentare.
Se le nenie e le filastrocche con il loro ritmo ipnotico hanno incantato generazioni di bambini ora si può però passare ad altro. La musicoterapeuta Edith Lecourt ha fatto cadere il mito delle note di Mozart come migliore antistress dei neonati: "Non ha un effetto migliore della musica di Schubert o di qualsiasi altro compositore. Il rap più di tutto, rilassa alcuni neonati".
Lecourt è comunque convinta che per il bambino "tutta la musica va bene". L'importante è che sia di qualità. Infatti quello che è emerso durante l'incontro è che "i bebè apprezzano la musica di buona qualità: ne colgono l'originalità e comprendono, a modo loro, i testi delle canzoni", ha spiegato il direttore dell'associazione "Infanzia e musica", Marc Caillard. "Possiamo fare ascoltare di tutto ai bambini - ha detto Caillard - l'importante è che il volume non sia troppo elevato".
"Affinché il suono sia buono, le casse non devono essere messe agli angoli della stanza" ha spiegato l'esperto acustico Christian Hugonnet. Il posto più adatto all'ascolto è, secondo lui, "un luogo ovattato, la camera da letto dei bambini".
Tutti sono comunque concordi nel sostenere che la cosa più importante, più del genere musicale, è che la musica piaccia ai genitori. Fare ascoltare al proprio bambino qualcosa che non piace a mamma e papà di certo non porterà dei benefici. "Il bambino deve percepire che i suoi genitori sono in armonia con la musica", ha precisato lo psicanalista Philippe Grimbert, "se un bambino cresce in una casa dove l'hard rock è molto presente, è probabile che sarà quel tipo di musica a calmarlo".
Molti studi hanno confermato l'influenza positiva della musica sui bambini, fin dai primi giorni di vita. Una ricerca pubblicata nell'anno appena passato da "Psicological Science" dimostrava che i bambini che vanno a lezioni di musica sviluppano una maggiore intelligenza. |

 ROMA - Dopo anni di latitanza è stato arrestato a Praga il nomade Raffaele Casamonica che nel 2001 scappò da Roma con i figli di 3 e 5 anni sottraendoli alla madre. Al termine di un'indagine durata tre anni la quarta sezione della Squadra mobile di Roma è riuscita a rintracciare l'uomo nella Repubblica Ceca, dove la polizia locale ha provveduto all'arresto. Il nomade, ricercato in Italia per usura, sarà estradato mentre i bambini, che adesso hanno 8 e 10 anni, arriveranno oggi pomeriggio a Roma e potranno rivedere la madre, che credevano morta.
Raffaele Casamonica, 33 anni, appartiene a una famiglia di nomadi stanziali che risiedono nella zona sud di Roma. Nel 2001 era scappato dall'Italia poiché ricercato per usura e aveva portato con sé i figli, allontanandoli dalla madre con cui era in lite giudiziaria. La latitanza dell'uomo era stata favorita dall'omertà della famiglia.
Raffaele Casamonica aveva iniziato a convivere con la madre dei suoi due figli, Ewa Sordini, nel 1995. Nei primi due anni di convivenza erano nati i bambini. Nel 1998 Ewa decise di lasciare il suo compagno, dicendosi stanca delle continue violenze subite sia dall'uomo che dalla suocera. La sua scelta di separarsi dall'uomo diede inizio a un difficile percorso giudiziario terminato nel 2001 con l'affidamento definitivo dei due bambini alla madre. A questo punto Raffaele rapì i figli, ai quali disse che la madre era morta, e diede inizio alla sua latitanza. Oggi i bambini torneranno finalmente da Ewa, che dovrà ricostruire la sua vita con i figli e garantire loro le sicurezze e le attenzioni che ancora non hanno avuto. |

 My man Sano mi ha fatto notare sulla rete il sito di Gabriele Paolini... vi giuro che questo è una delle persone piu schifose e spregevoli che ho mai visto in vita mia... e ancora mi chiedo come mai qualcuno non je l'abbia ammollate pesantemente... e per pesantemente intendo sedia a rotelle...
per farvi un'idea di che schifo sia andate sul sito

 Usa, tremano i giganti dei farmaci"Attenti a Moore, ci rovinerà"
ROMA - Non lasciatevi ingannare da un cappellino da baseball, non rispondete alle domande di chi lo indossa perché sotto quella visiera si nasconde una delle teste più pericolose della cinematografia indipendente americana. E' un avvertimento a tutti gli effetti quello che alcune case farmaceutiche americane hanno diffuso fra i dipendenti, quando hanno saputo che Michael Moore sta girando Sicko, titolo provvisorio di un nuovo film-documentario proprio sul sistema sanitario degli Stati Uniti. Un panico amplificato dal silenzio totale del temibile regista, il che alimenta congetture su quello che potrebbe già avere per le mani.
Questa volta l'ex giornalista di Flint, Michigan, punta l'indice su ospedali, agenzie di assicurazioni e soprattutto sull'industria dei medicinali. Semplice l'interrogativo dal quale prende le mosse: "Non capisco perché uno dei Paesi più ricchi del mondo permetta che quattro milioni di cittadini, se si ammalano, non vengano assistiti". Punto di partenza, la storia di dieci persone "costrette" a morire dall'inefficacia della sanità pubblica americana. Facile immaginare un nuovo pugno nello stomaco, dopo le inchieste d'assalto sulla General Motors (Roger&Me, 1989), sulla lobby delle armi (Bowling a Columbine, 2002) e soprattutto dopo il clamore suscitato da Fahrenheit 9/11.
Il film, distribuito da Bob e Harvey Weinstein (dal quale i due fratelli fondatori della Miramax si aspettano grandi cose, tanto che avrebbero già previsto un incasso di 40 milioni di dollari) dovrebbe uscire nel prossimo autunno. Sulle riprese, si diffondono voci incontrollate. Come quella che vorrebbe Moore dimagrito e camuffato - baffi e capelli biondi - per non essere riconosciuto e realizzare interviste senza problemi. In realtà, come avvenuto per Fahrenheit 9/11, non mancheranno volontari pronti a dispensare informazioni per realizzare un film che ha sollevato polemiche e timori ancora prima del concepimento.
Per questo, alcune importanti case farmaceutiche hanno invitato i dipendenti a non cadere nei tranelli che il diabolico Moore potrebbe tendere loro. La Pfizer Global Research, ad esempio, ha inviato una email interna a tutti i dipendenti, con un "identikit" del regista e il monito a fare attenzione. Lo stesso hanno fatto la Glaxosmithkline (dopo l'"avvistamento" di Moore a Philadelphia, quartier generale della società) e la AstraZeneca. Il direttore della comunicazione di quest'ultima azienda, Rachel Bloom, ha dichiarato che "i lavori del regista sono evidentemente tendenziosi, anche questo sarà più una docu-drammatizzazione che un film equilibrato".
Ma se i dipendenti delle case farmaceutiche non parlano, tanto meno rilascia dichiarazioni il diretto interessato. Un cronista di Variety - il magazine-Bibbia di Hollywood - ha cercato di contattarlo ma racconta di non aver ricevuto alcuna risposta. Sul sito michaelmoore.com il riferimento più recente a Sicko risale addirittura al 23 dicembre del 2004, con la citazione di un articolo del Los Angeles Times che raccontava come, già allora, un nervosismo crescente si stesse diffondendo fra le industrie farmaceutiche americane. |
